The city of Newton Massachusetts is located on the south bank of the Charles River and about 8 miles West of Boston. Newton consists of 13 unique villages, each with their own personality and downtown areas. Newton is bordered by Weston and Wellesley to the west, Waltham and Watertown to the north, Brighton and Brookline to the east, and West Roxbury and Needham to the south.

Villages of Newton: Auburndale, Chestnut Hill, Newton Centre, Newton Corner, Newton Highlands, Newton Lower Falls, Newton Upper Falls (both on the Charles River, and both once small industrial sites), Newtonville, Nonantum (also called "The Lake"), Oak Hill, Thompsonville, Waban, and West Newton.
